Columbia River Maritime Museum

ANNUAL GIVING

The Columbia River Maritime Museum has never been more exciting! The Crossing the Bar exhibit has been a great addition to the galleries. Our campus has undergone significant changes with the installations of an enormous propeller on the Museum’s plaza and the stunning new display of the Pilot Boat Peacock at the east end of the campus.

Our exhibits will continue to entice and engage visitors with state-of-the-art presentations. As our members learned at the Annual Member Meeting in November 2010, three exciting exhibits were planned for 2011 (all have since opened):

  • Cleveland Rockwell fine art show
  • Voyage to Vietnam traveling exhibit
  • Tattoo: The Art of the Sailor following the maritime history of tattoos from the time of Captain Cook’s journeys into the South Sea Islands to the “Sailor Jerry” style popular during World War II

As our attendance grows, so does our commitment to enhance our activities for tourists, students, scholars and families. There is truly something for everyone in our galleries and in our programs. Our website and Facebook listings have never been more visited or more enjoyed.

We ask you to help us maintain this momentum by giving each year to the Museum. Your annual member support helps us thrive, makes us humbly grateful, and, we hope, demonstrates how your contribution inspires our creativity and success.

We would be delighted to recognize your personal and your corporate contributions in our QuarterDeck and online.
