What days and hours are you open?
The Columbia River Maritime Museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Is the Museum child-friendly?
Yes. The Museum is appropriate and accessible for all ages.
Can I take photographs inside the Museum?
Yes. You are welcome to photograph images in the Museum for your personal use and not for reproduction.
Is there a café or restaurant on the premises?
No, but there is a wide variety of food services nearby. Your admission ticket is good for all-day access, so you may leave for a meal or snack and return to complete your Museum visit. Front Desk and Museum Store personnel have a list of local restaurants if you would like assistance.
Is parking easy and convenient for large groups?
Yes. The Museum has ample parking for cars and buses, as well as an area dedicated for daytime motor home use.
Is the Museum handicap accessible?
Yes. The Museum building is fully accessible for everyone, but the Lightship Columbia is not recommended for individuals with mobility challenges due to steep access ladders and elevated thresholds.
Do you offer audio guides (headsets, etc.)?
No, but audio and video are incorporated into various exhibits throughout the Museum.
Can I schedule a guided tour? How much does it cost?
Yes, you may schedule a guided tour. There is no charge for guided tours, though we do require a minimum of 10 people in your group and scheduling of your visit at least two weeks in advance. Contact Genia Van Wormer for details.
Do you have a gift store?
Yes. The Museum Store follows the same hours of operation as the Columbia River Maritime Museum. You may visit the store without paying admission to the Museum.

How much time should I allow to experience the Museum?
We recommend that you allow approximately two hours to fully experience the Museum.

How can I use the Research Library at the Museum?
The Ted M. Natt Research Library is open by appointment on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please contact the curatorial staff at least one week in advance to schedule an appointment.
