The Columbia River Maritime Museum welcomes opportunities to share the Museum with school or other tour groups.

In order to insure the best possible experience for your group – whether for a self-guided or docent-led tour – please schedule your visit with Museum staff at least two weeks in advance.

To schedule a group visit, contact Kathy Johnson

A minimum of ten people is required for group admission rates (see below). Admission is payable by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover and is due on arrival. We request a single payment for the entire group.

Museum galleries and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, and two wheelchairs are available for loan at the front desk if needed. If your group has other special needs or considerations, please contact Education Director Betsey Ellerbroek.

Note that backpacks, food, gum and beverages are not permitted in the Museum.

If you need to cancel:

Reservation cancellations should be made at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled arrival. Contact Betsey Ellerbroek or Kathy Johnson by phone at 503.325.2323.

School and Youth Groups

Teachers are offered one complimentary admission to the Museum in advance of the group tour date for purposes of planning the visit.

Teachers with a confirmed group booking will receive a packet with detailed exhibit information and suggested curriculum activities. A confirmation letter will outline Museum policies that all teachers and chaperones should review prior to arrival.

The Museum requests that adult chaperones accompany students at a minimum of one adult for every five students. Chaperones must remain with students at all times and actively supervise the visit.
