Doing Research

The Columbia River Maritime Museum Research Collections, consisting of our library and photograph collections, are housed within the Ted M. Natt Maritime Library. These collections hold a wealth of information for scholars, historians, and the general public. Because our collections are non-circulating, we provide researchers with staff assistance and a secure, comfortable environment in which to peruse these items. The Curatorial staff will provide guidance in using our various catalogs and finding aids. We can also suggest other sources that may aid your research.

Genealogical Research: The nature of our collections does not allow us respond effectively to genealogical inquiries, including requests for obituaries and directory searches. If you are working on your family history, please contact the Clatsop County Genealogical Society.
