Lindsey Aarts was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida (along the Gulf Coast) and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Art History and Museum Studies. In 2009, she decided to forsake the heat and humidity and headed west to Portland, Oregon where she enjoyed four years working as a Coordinator on the Portland Saturday Market staff. For the last twelve years, Lindsey has been working as a freelance designer and artist. Since arriving in Astoria in 2017, she has focused on her artwork - spending a year as a member of the Astoria Studio Collective, practicing watercolor illustration, and selling at the Astoria Sunday Market. In 2020, COVID made art production difficult but helped to launch the first ever "Astoria Home for the Holidays" online community shopping event.
