Groups

Guided tours will be offered to groups of 10 to 20 people. Group tour reservations are not available for families or social gatherings.  In order to ensure the best possible experience for your group, please schedule your group's visit with Museum staff at least two weeks in advance.  We offer Meet and Greet talks in the lobby for groups larger than 20. Docents at CRMM are volunteers. We will do our best to ensure that your group receives the guided tour you have requested, however we are unable to guarantee the availability of the docent.

NOTE:  Groups coming in for Docent Tours must pay no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, or the Tour is subject to cancellation.
Groups that cancel 5 or more days prior to their scheduled arrival date will receive a refund.
Groups that cancel 4 or less days prior to their scheduled arrival date are not guaranteed a refund.

Groups requesting a 3D movie reservation must provide credit card payment prior to the visit. This reservation guarantees theater seats that will not be sold to other visitors. The credit card will be charged based on the number of reservations provided by the Group Representative at the time of booking. Any change to the visitor count must be made at least 24 hours prior to the visit. Refunds will not be provided on the day of the visit should the visitor count decrease.

TACTILE TOURS

Tactile tours at the Columbia River Maritime Museum provide a more accessible opportunity for visitors to learn about Columbia River history through touch and verbal description. Your tour will stop around several of the museum’s galleries and include opportunities to handle a Coast Guard Immersion Suit, pelts from the maritime fur trade, and pieces from a Fresnel lighthouse lens.

Tactile tours are intended for those who are blind, visually-impaired, or feel their experience at the museum would be improved with more hands-on opportunities. You can request a tactile tour on our Group Reservation Form. In order to ensure the best possible experience for your group, please give us at least two weeks’ notice prior to your visit.
