Our priority is the health and safety of our visitors, the local community and our entire Museum family.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate this new "normal" together.
These guidelines are subject to change as situations evolve.
We recommend you check for updates to the website before you visit.
Here's what to expect when you visit.
Effective Friday, March 26, 2021
Museum Occupancy will be limited to a maximum of 100 people, including staff, at any one time.
Please be prepared for the possibility of having to wait for entry, especially if you are part of a large party.

MASKS/FACE COVERINGS
The State of Oregon requires all visitors ages 5 and older to wear a face covering that covers both the mouth and nose at all times
while inside the Museum, including the 3D theater and Museum Store.
Visitors with shields, netting, valve masks or masks that do not cover the mouth and nose entirely will not be admitted.
If you choose not to wear an approved mask, please come and visit us another time.
If you cannot wear a mask due to a disability, please contact the Museum at (503) 325-2323
prior to admission to discuss potential accommodation.
Capacity for the 3D Theater and the Museum Store is a maximum of 10 visitors.
The Upper Deck of the Lightship, when it is open, has a maximum capacity of 20 visitors.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Practice social distancing. Stay a minimum of six feet from those outside your party.
Stay with members of your own household.
ONE WAY JOURNEY
Follow the one-way journey through the galleries.
Follow the arrows on the floor through each gallery in order to see everything and avoid cross-traffic.
HAND SANITIZER
Use hand-sanitizing stations located throughout the museum.
Use of hand sanitizer is required prior to shopping in the Museum Store.
MUSEUM DAILY CLEANING
Staff is continuously cleaning the Museum's high-touch surfaces and restrooms throughout the day.
NOT FEELING WELL?
If you or anyone in your party is experiencing fever, cough, fatigue or shortness of breath,
please plan to visit the Museum at another time.
PLEASE NOTE
For your shopping convenience and safety, gloves will be provided in the Museum Store.
Sanitized shopping baskets will be provided to gather items you have handled,
or you can place unwanted items in the dedicated return areas.
Items not purchased will be sanitized and returned to the Store shelves by our staff.
Seating in the 3D Theater is at reduced capacity to allow for adequate social distancing.
Please check with the Admissions Desk regarding available show seating.
The Hurricane Simulator, Rain Shadow Augmented Reality Exhibit, and the lower deck of the Lightship Columbia are temporarily closed.
