The Columbia River Maritime Museum is a collecting institution; it is what we do best. We collect and preserve the history of the Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest.
At the very core of this collection is the Ted M. Natt Maritime Library, one of the premier repositories of its kind, unlike any other collection in the nation. The library holdings span from the earliest explorers to current day. This includes the very first printed map of the Columbia River, journals, manuscripts, over 20,000 printed volumes, 30,000 historic photos, and over 1,000 charts and maps all related to the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest.
The Library is open Tuesday and Wednesday 11:00AM - 5:00PM, or by appointment.
Please contact us to schedule an appointment. The Library is non-circulating; all material must be used in the Library.
Visitors may bring their own scanning equipment or staff members will make copies at $.10 per page.
Wifi is available.
