The latest addition to the Museum’s 13-acre campus is The Warnock Commons and Model Boat Pond.   After almost five years of planning and construction, the sliver of commercial property at the east end of the Museum’s parking lot, known as North Coast Auto Service, was transformed into a pond designed for sailing model boats, part of the Museum’s vision for a park-like campus around the Barbey Maritime Center.

The Warnock Commons and Model Boat Pond is the perfect place to enjoy being outdoors. The Pond is open to the public year-round for your sailing pleasure. We invite you to bring your favorite vessel and spend some time at the Columbia River Maritime Museum.

The Warnock Model Boat Pond will remain available for group bookings.  Groups are welcome to reserve the Pond for events or on-site picnic lunches.  This can be added on to any Learning Lab or Group Visit Reservation for a $25 non-refundable fee (including in the event of inclement weather).
