Natives of Oonalashka and their Habitations
London 1790
A large and elaborate engraving from one of Webber's illustrations of natives in Oonalashka, showing their sealskin costumes and underground dwellings. In the foreground are drying fish and there are native kayaks ashore and in the water. Although the natives portrayed are of great interest, it is the enormous wild landscape that captures the viewer's imagination. This scene was published by J. Hall and S. Middiman.
